It seems to me that generally O2 3g coverage in South West London is pretty poor. I would generally expect to get pretty good signals throughout most of the M25 area but it seems this isn’t the case.
Richmond is a typical example. Even on the main High Street you can struggle to get a normal GSM signal let alone 3g. Once you cross the river into Twickenham it’s ok until you get near the station.
Surely on the train signals should be reasonable? Apparently not. No signal from Richmond to Twickenham, little signal then most of the way to Feltham. Even into London it is poor, nothing at all through Mortlake and Barnes even at Putney it was a struggle.
Seems to settle down once you get to Clapham Junction, but then so it should. I never had these problems on Orange that I remember but the again I never wanted a 3g signal so much then.
